You can encode URLs, plain text, email addresses, phone numbers, Wi-Fi credentials, vCard contacts, SMS messages, and more. The maximum capacity is about 4,296 alphanumeric characters or 2,953 bytes of binary data.
Do QR codes expire?
Static QR codes (like the ones generated here) never expire. They encode the data directly in the pattern. However, if you encode a URL that later goes offline, the QR code will still work but the destination won't be reachable.
What size should my QR code be for printing?
As a rule of thumb, the QR code should be at least 2cm x 2cm (0.8in x 0.8in) for close-range scanning (business cards) and larger for materials viewed from a distance. For posters, aim for at least 10cm x 10cm.
Can I customize the color of my QR code?
